Royal Hua Hin Golf Course
(Designer: O.A. Robins
)
Build in 1923, located just behind a railway station in the centre of the town. From the golf course you can enjoy panoramic views of the
Gulf of Thailand. Thailand’s oldest course is a natural layout out in wooded land rather than the resort style so popular today. There are no water hazards except for the most wayward shots, but the average golfer will have enough problems keeping out of the trees. Walking is a prerequisite for playing at Royal Hua Hin, though we hear golf carts may be available.
This was the first golf course to be built in Thailand and is also the closest to Hua Hin, a few minutes drive from the centre of town.
Course: 18 holes Par 72 Length 6,678 yds.
Men’s course 6,678 yards

Majestic Creek Country Club
(Designer : Dr Sukitti Klangvisai)
Open : 1993
Majestic Creek is located 22 kilometers away, on the main road towards Cha-Am, Located inland from Hua Hin, in front of the foothills of the mountain range dividing the kingdom from Myanmar (Burma) and the maze of streams.
Majestic Creek, one of the most scenic courses, generally plays long as the luscious fairways do not permit the ball to run far. The two par 5’s at the end of each 9 are seldom reached in two - even by the pros. Keeping the ball below the pin will help to save strokes as the greens are mostly sloped from the back.
Course: 18 holes, Par 72, Length 7,123 yds.
Championship course 7,123 yards
Men’s course 6,406 yards
Ladies course 5,571 yards
Green fee : W/D inc caddy = THB 2000, W/E inc caddy = THB 2000

Imperial Lake View Hotel & Golf Course
(Designer : Roger Packard)
Open : 1993
Managed by the Imperial Hotel Group, the course is 19 kilometers out of Hua Hin, heading north on the road to Cha-Am. Located among lakes. Thousands of mature palm trees are a feature of the course with water hazards coming into play regularly.
With a hotel on the course, Imperial Lake View provides an idyllic setting for golfers keen to just play the game and then relax in peace and quiet. The 27-hole layout includes the Desert course - probably the best 9 holes in the Hua Hin area. The original 18 holes feature undulating fairways and greens requiring the golfer to select a target landing area rather than just teeing it up and letting it rip!
There are two courses available to play – a par 72, 18 hole Championship course and a 9 hole ‘Desert’ course, with a par of 36. The main course is regarded by many as the finest in the area and is very popular with local golfers.

Springfield Royal Country Club
(Designer : Jack Nicklaus)
Open : 1993
This stunning Jack Nicklaus designed course is around 20 kilometers north of Hua Hin and was voted as one of the top ten courses in Thailand by readers of Golf Digest magazine.
Home of the 2001 Thai Open and rated by many as one of the top three layouts in the country, Springfield features the full Nicklaus theme - long par 4’s, big bunkers, plenty of water and an island green. For the middle handicapper, the par 4’s will require regular use of fairway metals. The first hole is a gentle form of introduction.
All these courses are offer contrasting challenges. Low handicappers using the back tees have to be long and straight to reach the fairways while middle-to-high handicappers off the white tees will have to solve many problems to keep a score near one’s handicap.
Springfield is truly a championship course. The course has large areas of sand and well-appointed water hazards. The golf course is one of the best maintained courses in Thailand with excellent clubhouse facilities.
The course provides an interesting challenge from any of the many tee placements and is very popular with local golf enthusiasts and holiday makers alike.

Palm Hills Resort & Country Club
(Designer : Max Wexler)
Open : 1991
Palm Hills is close to Hua Hin, on the northern outskirts of the town.
Wide fairways and large greens make Palm Hills a very user-friendly. To offset this there is a fair amount of water to cross as lakes used for irrigation have been blended into the undulating layout. While the greens may be large, they can be variable in speed and smoothness making them difficult to read. Due to its close proximity to Hua Hin, Palm Hills is very heavily used and as a consequence, it can at times look very worn.
The first of the new courses to open in 1991, Palm Hills is the closest to Hua Hin. It was the main venue for the inaugural Thailand World Pro Am tournament in 1993. The design of the course blends with the natural terrain of the surrounding hills.
The course is designed to give a Scottish ‘links’ feel and there are great views over the Gulf of Thailand and the mountains to the west of the town.
Course: 18 holes Par 72 Length 6,892 yds.
Championship course 6,892 yards

Milford Paradise Resort & Golf Club
(Designer : Robert McFarland)
Open : 1996
The course is approximately a 15 minute drive south of Hua Hin on the way to nearby town of Pranburi. Milford organise a complimentary daily shuttle service to and from Hua Hin.
Opened in 1995. The owners of this land must be commended for their foresight as it is difficult terrain. The situation is possibly one of the best in Thailand with sea views and The Kings Peacocks to take your attention away from some of the testing shots that are awaiting, particularly on the very tight back nine holes. The course isn’t long but at the end of your round you wouldn’t know it! Keep your driver in the bag except for a couple of holes on the front nine to have a go with a little room for maneuver. Great fun and an ideal course for a Texas scramble a few beers and an entertaining days golf. Incidentally, the greens have the best in the area with a wonderful surface, but and a big but, don’t get on the wrong side of the flag stick or your score goes up. 4 putts-no problem!! The fairways suffer a little in a hot dry spell, so take some old clubs with you, after your game take a short trip back to the village.
Milford is a little different to the longer championship courses described above but affords magnificent sea views from all areas of its beachfront layout. Milford is a long championship course. Provides fantastic sea views.
